Terms & Conditions

1.1 Welcome to PXLLAB. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PXLLAB website at pxllabhk.com and any related services, features, content or applications (collectively, the "Platform").

1.2 By accessing or using the Platform, registering an account, submitting a tournament entry or placing a gear order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1.3 We may amend these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2.1 The Platform is operated by PXLLAB ("we", "our" or "us"), a pickleball tournament organiser based in Hong Kong SAR.

2.2 We organise and administer pickleball tournaments, leagues and rated events, and we sell gear and accessories that are incidental to those events. Where an event is run by a partner organiser, we act as agent for that organiser and will identify them on the relevant event page.

2.3 You may contact us at support@pxllabhk.com.

• "Tournament" means any pickleball tournament, league, ladder or competitive event listed on the Platform.
• "Registration" or "Entry" means any entry, application or purchase you submit through the Platform to participate in a Tournament, whether as an individual or as part of a doubles pairing.
• "Organizer" means PXLLAB or, where stated, the partner organiser responsible for a Tournament.
• "Gear Order" means any purchase of paddles, apparel, accessories or other products through the Platform.
• "Content" means all text, images, video, audio, scores, statistics, brackets, schedules and other material made available through the Platform.
• "User", "you", "your" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform.

4.1 Users under 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before submitting an Entry or making any payment.

4.2 You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during account creation and Entry — including your DUPR rating, DUPR ID, date of birth where required, and your partner's details for doubles events — and to keep that information up to date.

4.3 You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

5.1 You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

5.2 You must not:

• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation;
• submit false, altered or misleading rating, identity, age or payment information;
• post or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or that infringes any third party's rights;
• introduce viruses, malware or any harmful code;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other users' accounts, or the systems on which the Platform is hosted;
• scrape, harvest or otherwise collect data about other Users or Organizers;
• resell, sublicense or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

6.1 Where a Tournament is run by a partner organiser, we act as agent for that organiser. In that case the contract for participation is formed between you and the partner organiser, and not with us.

6.2 The Organizer is responsible for the operation, quality, safety and lawfulness of the Tournament, including draws, scheduling, officiating, prize distribution, venue arrangements and on-site conduct.

6.3 Where we are the Organizer, complaints and disputes relating to the Tournament should be raised with us directly at support@pxllabhk.com.

7.1 Entries are subject to availability and to the rules, eligibility criteria, rating requirements and age categories set for the relevant event. Each event category has a maximum capacity; once full, you may join the waitlist and will be notified if a spot becomes available.

7.2 Category eligibility is enforced as published on the Tournament page — for example Novice categories are limited to players rated below DUPR 3.0, Open categories are open to all rating levels, and 50+ categories are limited by age rather than rating.

7.3 We reserve the right (and a partner Organizer reserves the right) to refuse, cancel, reseed or reassign any Entry that does not meet the applicable criteria, that contains inaccurate rating or identity information, or that is suspected of being fraudulent or in breach of these Terms.

7.4 Draws, brackets, schedules and start times are subject to change. Organizers may modify formats, categories, court allocations, prize structures or playing rules to accommodate operational requirements such as weather, court availability or participant numbers.

7.5 You are responsible for arriving on time for scheduled matches and complying with check-in procedures. Forfeits and walkovers are awarded at the Organizer's discretion in accordance with the event rules.

7.6 Where you enter a doubles event, you represent that you are authorised to submit your partner's details, that those details are accurate, and that your partner consents to their personal data being submitted to the Platform. Partner invitations sent through the Platform must be accepted before a pairing is treated as confirmed.

8.1 All amounts are payable in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD) unless otherwise stated.

8.2 We accept local payment methods such as FPS, PayMe, Alipay HK and bank transfer. Where a payment is made outside the Platform, you must upload valid payment proof and quote the reference shown at checkout so that we can match your payment.

8.3 We reserve the right to verify, reject or request replacement of any payment proof that appears altered, duplicated, incomplete or otherwise invalid. An Entry or Gear Order is only confirmed once payment has been verified by us.

8.4 Unverified or unmatched payments may result in your Entry being released, your waitlist position lapsing, or your Gear Order being cancelled.

8.5 Receipts and confirmations are issued electronically to the email address on your account. You are responsible for retaining them for your own records.

9.1 The refund, withdrawal and substitution policy applicable to an Entry is the policy published on the relevant Tournament page at the time of Entry.

9.2 Where a refund is approved, we will process it through the original payment method where practicable. Refunds may take up to 14 business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

9.3 Processing, transaction and administrative fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

9.4 If a Tournament is cancelled, postponed or materially modified, the published refund or rescheduling policy applies. We will communicate changes as soon as practicable but are not liable for consequential losses such as travel, accommodation or training costs.

10.1 Gear listings, prices and availability may change without notice. A Gear Order is an offer to purchase and is accepted only when we confirm the order after payment verification.

10.2 Where stock is unavailable after an order is placed, we will offer a replacement item or a refund of the amount paid for that item.

10.3 Products are supplied with the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. Except where required by law, we do not accept returns of used equipment or items damaged through play, misuse or normal wear.

10.4 Collection and delivery arrangements are as stated at checkout or in your order confirmation.

11.1 Tournaments and matches may be photographed, recorded and live-streamed by us, a partner Organizer or appointed third parties.

11.2 By participating in or attending any Tournament, you consent to your image, voice, performance and likeness being captured and used for promotional, broadcast, archival and editorial purposes connected to the Platform, the Organizer and their respective partners.

12.1 You may submit content to the Platform, including messages, comments, profile information, ratings, scores and media ("User Content").

12.2 You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt and distribute the User Content as necessary to operate, promote and improve the Platform.

12.3 You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to grant the licence in clause 12.2.

12.4 We may, but are not obliged to, review, remove or refuse any User Content at our sole discretion.

13.1 The Platform, including all software, design, logos, layouts, text, graphics and compilations of Content, is our property or that of our licensors, and is protected by intellectual property laws.

13.2 "PXLLAB" and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

13.3 Partner, brand and Organizer names, marks and logos displayed on the Platform are the property of their respective owners and are used with permission.

13.4 Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, display, publish, license or create derivative works from any Content on the Platform.

14.1 We collect and use personal data — including your name, contact details, DUPR rating and ID, event history, payment proof and order records — in order to operate the Platform, administer events and fulfil orders.

14.2 Personal data may be shared with partner Organizers, venues, rating bodies and service providers where necessary for those purposes.

14.3 You may request access to or correction of your personal data by contacting support@pxllabhk.com.

15.1 The Platform and all Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted operation.

15.2 We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time.

15.3 We do not warrant the quality, safety, suitability, lawfulness or outcome of any Tournament, venue, partner Organizer or third-party service.

16.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these Terms and your use of the Platform, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the total fees you have paid to us (excluding amounts collected on behalf of partner Organizers) in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

16.2 In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, goodwill or data, business interruption, or damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Platform or your participation in any Tournament.

16.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Hong Kong.

Pickleball involves an inherent risk of physical injury. By submitting an Entry and participating in any Tournament, you acknowledge and accept those risks. You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically fit to participate, that you carry any insurance you require, and that you comply with the Organizer's and venue's safety rules. We are not liable for any injury, illness or loss arising from your participation.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless PXLLAB, its directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Platform; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your User Content; (d) your participation in any Tournament; or (e) your violation of any law or third-party right.

18.1 We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms or applicable law, or for any other operational reason.

18.2 You may close your account at any time by contacting support@pxllabhk.com. Closure does not relieve you of obligations accrued before the closure date.

19.1 We may amend these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on the Platform with an updated effective date.

19.2 Where changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to notify registered Users by email or in-app notice.

The Platform may contain links to, or be integrated with, third-party websites and services (for example payment providers, rating systems, mapping services and social media). Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

21.1 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

21.2 Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

21.3 You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.

21.4 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform and supersede any prior agreements.

22.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

22.2 You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
